Carol Baker
K/1 Teacher

Carol Baker comes to Discovery from Fammatre Charter School in the Cambrian School District where she taught 2nd grade. Carol has the unique experience of having served as a parent volunteer in the Moreland Discovery program, as well as having held a long-term teaching assignment as a 2/3 teacher at Easterbrook Discovery School in the spring of 2006.

Carol conducted her student teaching under Bill Menkin and a semester of practicum teaching with Priscilla Spencer at Easterbrook Discovery School.

Her volunteer experience includes having served as the Spectra Art Coordinator for 4 years at Discovery School and presenting a series of Junior Achievement lessons. Carol's personal interest has been in the arts. She enjoys painting, sculpting and ceramics as well as other mixed media art forms.

Carol earned her bachelor's degree and teaching credential from San Jose State University. Prior to teaching at the elementary level, Carol has held various teaching positions at local community colleges.
