Jenna was born in Modesto, California where she grew up with her two parents and older brother. She left to pursue her studies at California State University, Chico majoring in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Spanish.
She graduated with her B.A. and continued her education by entering the, Tri-Placement Program, a postgraduate study to obtain her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. This dynamic cohort of individuals contributed to her extensive experience in studying under highly qualified cooperating teachers, while engaging in comprehensive field experience with learners from diverse backgrounds.
Her philosophy in the classroom includes making a community of learners with a student-centered approach, which will both answer their needs and provide a challenging curriculum that creates opportunities for growth
Jenna plans to provide a classroom where each learner is accepted, valued, and held to the expectation of high achievement. She is one to keep an open mind, a watchful eye, and a reflective heart in her teaching career, holding collaboration with colleagues in high regard. |
