Carol Crofts has spent the last 12 years teaching 3 and 4 years old at Westside Co-op Preschoolin West San Jose. The last three years at Westside she was the preschool Director. Westside is a parent co-op where parents work weekly in the class and also help to run the school. Through this experience Carol learned the value of community, the power of parent involvement and the joy of developmental education where children are free to learn at their own pace.

Carol has 2 children - Sadie, aged 18 and Nickie aged 13. Both girls went through the Discovery School program. Carol had the privilege to work in this school (in one form or another) as a volunteer for 11 years. She always found volunteering in the classroom a rewarding and educational experience.

Carol received her BA from UC Berkeley and her teaching credential from San Jose State University. Additionally she has over 20 units of Early Childhood Education classes at West Valley College. Carol’s hobbies include hiking, listening to live music and reading a good book. She is very excited to be a part of the Discovery Charter School community.
