Rebecca Milco

Rebecca holds a dual Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Spanish from Bridgewater State College, Bridgewater, Massachusetts. .

Rebecca brings to Discovery Charter over 8 years of experience in the educational field. She began her teaching career working for the Old Colony YMCA after-school enrichment program where she designed and taught Spanish lessons at four elementary schools for grades 1 through 7 and eventually became program director for grades 1-5.

She then took a position as a teacher assistant for a third grade class at Indian Head School in Hanson, Massachusetts, while earning her teaching credential, where she was responsible for designing and implementing thematic units.

After obtaining her teaching credential, Rebecca accepted a teaching position with Westwood Charter School teaching grades 7th through 12th and later serving as a self-contained multi-grade elementary classroom teacher for grades 1 through 6. 

Rebecca then served the Palermo Union School District carrying out their reading intervention program for grades 5 through 7.  She joined our teaching staff for our inaugural year 06/07.
