Math Specialist
Jennifer is a graduate of San Jose State with a degree in Business Management. After working as an accountant for several years, she chose to stay home and raise her three daughters. During this time, they attended Wilson and Village Schools, both parent participation schools.
In addition to over 10 years of experience working in the classroom as a parent, Jennifer has also coached softball for 8 years and volleyball for 2 years. During this time, she realized she enjoyed teaching children and helping them reach goals.
She began substituting for Campbell Union School District in 2005 and returned to get her K-8 credential at San Jose State in 2007. She enrolled in the Middle Level Emphasis Program and worked on her authorization for teaching mathematics. She previously taught 7th grade pre-algebra and algebra at Rolling Hills Middle School.
Jennifer wants every child to leave her classroom with a positive attitude towards math, feeling confident they can succeed in a problem solving and critical thinking environment. Her classroom is a place where students can take risks, hypothesize, justify, discuss, and debate. Students will see that math makes sense and not all people arrive at answers the same way.
