Physical Education (K-8)
Nathan Snyder holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Saint Mary's College, Moraga, California.
Nathan brings to Discovery Charter over seven years experience in the physical education field. While in college, he worked as an Athletics Supervisor for St. Mary's College's Intramural Department where he organized and facilitated sporting activities for various sports and officiated co-ed flag football, basketball and softball games.
He also worked at St. Mary's Sports Camp where he taught children ages 8-16 the basic fundamental skills of various sports while stressing the importance of teamwork and good sportsmanship.
Upon earning his degree, Nathan accepted a Site Coordinator position with Sports-4-Kids where he directed the physical education program and an after school sports program for grades (K-5) at Cragmont Elementary School in Berkeley, CA for two years.
Moving to Boston, Nathan worked as a Physical Education Teacher for Young World where he taught physical education at intercity private schools for one year.
Returning to California, Nathan joined Rhythm & Moves as a (K-8) Physical Education Teacher for multiple private schools in the East Bay where he taught fitness, basketball, softball, hockey, dance, flag football, volleyball, soccer and gymnastics. He was also responsible for conducting the annual presidential physical fitness testing for grades 5-8.
