I am honored  to serve as your Executive Director for Discovery Charter Schools.   I look forward to working collaboratively with parents, educators, and the community to ensure the best for all students.  My goal is to value the DCS community through One Discovery, One Team!  Together, we will partner as a team through our parent participation and community involvement model.

It is a true privilege to step into the Director position for Discovery Charter School Phoenix Campus. I started teaching 18 years ago, and for the past 12 years, Discovery has been my home. I value the way we all come together to create a learning program for our students that is collaborative, hands on, meaningful, and fun. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue the vision of Discovery by working side by side with all community members.

Falcon Director- Karla Lund

I grew up in the Northern part of Denmark, in a small town, Broenderslev where I was working as a designer at Bestseller in Denmark.


In 2003, I moved with my husband to San Jose California. With motherhood, came a deep interest in student centered learning and when an opportunity arose to support the Discovery Phoenix Campus in expanding their program. The process of founding Discovery Charter School Falcon Campus inspired me to pursue teaching credentials and a Master's Degree of Education.


I am honored to be part of the Discovery family. My goal is to guard what is at the heart of the program - the Discovery Mission and Philosophy, with all that it entails and I'm committed to supporting the implementation hereof in partnership with all community stakeholders.
