Welcome Back!

Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! I am honored and excited to serve as your Executive Director for Discovery Charter Schools.   I look forward to working collaboratively with parents, educators, and the community to ensure the best for all students.  My goal is to value the DCS community through One Discovery, One Team!  Together, we will partner as a team through our parent participation and community involvement model.

30 years ago I decided to become an educator because I knew the positive impact that educators have on young people.  I knew from my own personal experience the value school has played in changing my future.  Every day our students sit in our classrooms, and as educators, it is our job to help students reach unlimited possibilities.  Our work is about encouraging and equipping tomorrow’s leaders, doctors, and change makers.

I am excited about the future of Discovery Charter Schools  and I will work hard to continue to build upon the traditions and philosophies that make Discovery unique.  This year we will continue to enhance social, emotional, and academic learning and growth for students.  Our new site Directors at Phoenix and Falcon embody our mission and vision and are ready to welcome your student.

Throughout our work, we will maintain the Discovery mission:  creating lifelong learners that are prepared to meet the challenges of the future by educating the whole child through family involvement, project-based learning, and respect for individual learning styles and developmental readiness.

I am a firm believer that communication is the key to success.  I plan to be accessible to all stakeholders and maintain an open door communication policy.  I encourage and welcome any questions, comments or concerns you may have.  

 I look forward to meeting you all in person when we open the doors to welcome your family back to school!
