Dear Discovery Community,
Don't pack up your Summer camping gear just yet...how about one more evening under the stars getting to know some new friends and hanging out with some old friends? We are pleased to announce a joint D1 & D2 Community event!
When: Sat, Sept 27th beginning as early as 4 pm until 11:00 am on Sun, Sept 28th
Where: D2 greens, 762 Sunset Glen Drive, San Jose 95123

What you'll need:
*Tent
*Bedding such as air beds, sleeping bags, pillows
*Personal affects such as toothbrushes, hairbrushes, clothes
*Camp chairs
*Water
*Lanterns/flashlights
This is an urban camping experience so there are a few things you won't need to bring:
*Firewood
*Stoves or cook sets
*And no alcohol please
Saturday:
1) There will be food trucks for dinner fare or you can bring a pre-cooked meal.
2) We will have a bake sale for dessert so please sign up to contribute. Remember, NO NUTS and label ingredients! All proceeds will cover camp out expenses.
3) There will be a craft booth where kids can make a glow in the dark constellation jar...we just need you to bring the clean, pint sized jar!
4) Does your child have a talent they would like to showcase? If so, great! We will have a casual and simple "stage" where they can tell a joke, sing a song or do the jig!
5) Since we aren't having a real fire…we will ask the children to create a fire out of supplies to spark their imagination. This is where we will gather around our "central fire" a nightfall -- don't forget your lanterns!
Quiet time is 10:00 pm for the sake of our neighbors
Sunday:
1) Coffee and Tea in the morning will be provided.
2) Bring your own easy breakfast items for your family…think doughnuts, cereal with milk, yogurt - you get the picture!
3) Pack up, help clean up and depart by 11:00 am…hopefully!
