    Christopher has been a leader and financial professional for 15 years. He has spent a great deal of his professional career negotiating complex revenue contracts and managing expectations with sales teams, aligning corporate financial decisions, and working cross-functionally to manage growth goals. Education is in Chris’ blood – his mom was a teacher.  Growing up in an educational environment instilled in him the value of good educators and the impact they make on children’s lives. Chris has two children enrolled at the Falcon campus. He and his family have an active lifestyle. They enjoy downhill skiing and many Tahoe winters.

    Louis Garcia has a diverse background that covers various fields. He's been part of the education sector, where he took charge as a Director of Athletics for middle and high school levels. His expertise isn't limited there – he's also gained experience in the tech industry, serving as a Senior Global Operations Associate.

    Outside of work, Louis's commitment shines through. He dedicated years to the San Jose Police Activities League, where he volunteered on the board. Currently, he holds the position of Vice President there. Louis thrives on finding harmony among education, sports, technology, and community service. His story showcases a genuine passion for making a positive impact.

    Stephanie is a Senior IT Project Manager with the County of Santa Clara.  She has over 18 years of experience leading technology teams, managing project budgets, and negotiating contracts.  For over 10 years, Stephanie has been volunteering in parent participation schools.  She is passionate about child-led, project-based learning that fosters a love for learning in the student.  She is a founder of the Discovery Falcon Charter School.  Stephanie has one child that graduated from Discovery and another enrolled at the Falcon campus.  Stephanie and her family enjoy camping and getting out into nature.

    Visha Rao has been a Discovery parent for the past ten years. Her older child recently graduated, and younger is in fifth grade. She is passionate about child-centric and holistic education, and has actively volunteered at the school in various capacities. She resonates with the DCS philosophy and is excited to give back to the community. She has extensive professional background in marketing, public relations, organization management, and strategic planning, and has served on three boards in the past. She currently runs Samatvam Yoga center, and in her free time enjoys piano, photography, writing, and adventure travel with her family.

    An attorney for 18 years, Ilan now works at the Sixth District Court of Appeal.  He has had a lifelong interest in education, volunteering at schools long before he started his family, and at one point in his life's journey, he considered becoming a kindergarten teacher.  Ilan has one child enrolled at the Phoenix campus, and another that graduated from Discovery.  He served as president of the DCS board for four years.  He enjoys cooking and playing guitar.

    Pooja was born and raised in Indore, a small cute town in the heart of India, She got married and moved to the Bay Area 25 years ago. Since then she has worked and volunteered in the field of arts and education. After delivering her first son her focus was to raise him. When it was time for him to start his kindergarten they came across Discovery Charter school. They loved the philosophy of DCS, especially the focus on developmental education and parents being part of that education. They joined Discovery in 2006 when it first opened its gates to everyone. Pooja got involved initially as a parent volunteer, later as a classroom coordinator, as a PSC officer, as a PSC President and then as an alumni parent and now as a board member. Both her boys, Avi and Adi, graduated from Discovery and are now successful in what they are doing. Pooja is proud of and very thankful for what they learned at DCS.
