Discovery Charter School 2’s 1st Annual LAPS FOR LEARNING Walkathon
Laps for Learning is an event that will take place on campus during school hours. Students will be walking/running laps to help raise money to cover THIS year's field trips.
Pledges
We are still accepting pledges and can be turned into the office!
All money raised will help pay for THIS year’s field trips. The goal is for each child to ask 10 people for a flat donation of $10. If everyone did this, Discovery 2 could potentially raise $30,000!
Volunteers
Parent Volunteers will help make this event a success. Please contact Kim Hickson directly if you are interested in helping out. If you are a Monday working parent please work with your teacher to arrange the appropriate back up coverage for your class.
Encourage your child to collect pledges and invest some sweat equity in their own education. Together, we can make this a very successful Laps for Learning event at
What does 100% participation look like?
We are asking that EACH student raise $100. We are requesting flat donations instead of per-lap donations as money can be collected up front. If each student collects $10 from 10 people they will make the goal of $100. If 100% participation is reached we will earn more than $30,000! The suggested donation is $10, but any donation will be accepted.
We are striving for 100% with Discovery 2's 300+ students!
