Positive Discipline in Discovery 2 Classrooms:
Are you wondering what kind of expectations Discovery Charter School 2 has for parents working in the classroom? Come find out what Positive Discipline is all about and why DCS 2 practices this philosophy.
This class will build confidence in what is expected of parents in the classroom and on campus. Whether you are on campus once a week, watching children before school on the playground, or helping on field trips, this class will help parents to be on the same page and pro-vide consistency for our children. As a bonus, you will get to know some of the other parents in the community, a community we all rely on for support.
This course consists of three sessions lasting 3 hours each. Please plan to arrive a little bit early to sign in and get situated. You are welcome to bring your own nut-free snacks or beverages to consume during class.
Completion of this course is required to participate at school and in the classroom at DCS 2.
DCS 2 Requirements:
-book, Positive Discipline by Jane Nelsen (purchased or borrowed)
-attendance and participation in all 3 classes

-for weeks 2 and 3, you will need to bring back the handouts you received in week 1
