In response to the recent losses in our community, we have invited Sue O'Reilly Cronin from the Centre for Living with Dying to address our parents. She will provide suggestions to support families in having conversations with our children about death, loss, and grief. She will address how to answer kids' questions and tips for being supportive of friends who have experienced loss.

About the Speaker:
Sue O'Reilly Cronin has been a crisis response & grief counseling volunteer at the Centre for Living with Dying (a program of the Bill Wilson Center) since 2012.
Through the Centre, she was trained and certified in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) which includes crisis & trauma response and grief counseling.
Sue is the coordinator of the Bay Area CISM team, which is comprised of both community members and first responders. She supports individuals, families, schools, and community organizations by providing CISM coaching and debriefing. She has worked with many of the school communities throughout Santa Clara County during and after illnesses, deaths and other traumatic events.
Prior to becoming the CISM coordinator in 2016, Sue co-facilitated grief support groups including the Healing Heart group which supports families with young children after the loss of a parent or sibling.
