The children will visit a working farm where they will pick apples to bring home. They will learn about the life cycle of apples as well as about the process of farming apples, making apple cider and applesauce and about how fruits and veggies absorb nutrients from the sun and how, when we eat those foods, we absorb those nutrients into our bodies. They will also interact with other wild life on the the farm and learn about how those animals contribute to the working of the farm.
