Addressing ongoing Social Studies themes relating to identity and diversity, the children will attend a musical adapted from "The Day You Begin," the bestselling children’s book by Jaqueline Woodson, a heartening story of uniqueness, belonging, and friendship. Min, Rigoberto, Sam, and Angelina navigate taking their first steps into a new place, reminding us about the times that we’ve all felt like outsiders -and how brave it is that we go forth anyway, share our stories, and happily meet each other halfway.
