We are excited to celebrate World Book Day on campus! To bring the joy of stories to life, students and staff are invited to dress up as their favorite book character on April 23rd, 2025. Whether it’s a classic hero, a curious animal, or a magical adventurer, we can’t wait to see the creativity and love for books shine!
Please note, no full face masks or weapons are allowed as part of the costume or props.
Reading to children—and encouraging them to read independently—has a powerful impact on language development, imagination, and lifelong learning. We encourage families to carve out dedicated reading time each day at home. Even just 20 minutes of independent reading a day builds stamina and supports academic growth across all subjects.
Looking to grow your home library? A beautiful Little Free Library donated to a previous fundraiser by Room 7 and led by the Lazo Perez Family (which a group of Falcon families subsequently won and donated back to the school—thank you!) will be unveiled at 9 am on Wednesday! We also recommend visiting used book sales hosted by Friends of San Jose Public Library and Friends of the Los Altos Library for their incredible selections of gently used books at very low prices.
Let’s make World Book Day a celebration of stories, creativity, and the power of reading together!
