Pooja was born and raised in Indore, a small cute town in the heart of India, She got married and moved to the Bay Area 25 years ago. Since then she has worked and volunteered in the field of arts and education. After delivering her first son her focus was to raise him. When it was time for him to start his kindergarten they came across Discovery Charter school. They loved the philosophy of DCS, especially the focus on developmental education and parents being part of that education. They joined Discovery in 2006 when it first opened its gates to everyone. Pooja got involved initially as a parent volunteer, later as a classroom coordinator, as a PSC officer, as a PSC President and then as an alumni parent and now as a board member. Both her boys, Avi and Adi, graduated from Discovery and are now successful in what they are doing. Pooja is proud of and very thankful for what they learned at DCS.
